Panels and Service
Panel Upgrade Photos: Old Boxes and New Service Equipment
Panel work tells the clearest electrician before and after story. Our photos include older breaker boxes with handwritten labels on masking tape, crowded panels with tangled wires and no cover, and a bent, rusted service mast pulled away from its meter base. Problems like these are common in homes that have grown over the years, one addition at a time.
On the other side are the new installations: a 200 amp load center with a main breaker, meter and main combinations with an exterior emergency disconnect, a surge protector mounted beside the panel and outdoor panelboards fed by fresh conduit. One photo is a thermal image of a breaker wire running hot, the kind of hidden problem that shows up during an inspection before it shows up as a burn mark.
If your own panel looks like the older boxes in these photos, it is worth a closer look. An electrical panel upgrade may be the next step for your home.

Home EV Chargers on Garage Walls and Wood Posts
Car chargers turn up again and again in our library of electrical work photos. Several show wall connectors mounted in garages right beside an open breaker panel, where the new circuit starts. Others show chargers set on sturdy wood posts outdoors, with conduit running from the meter or panel to the charger.
Another install is a charging pedestal at the edge of a red clay and gravel drive on a hillside. Mountain properties rarely have a level, paved spot next to the panel, so a charger often needs a trench, a post and a weatherproof connection to reach where the car actually parks.
Each of these jobs starts with the same question: can the existing panel carry the new load? Our EV charger installation work answers it first, then sizes the circuit to match.

Lighting
Indoor and Outdoor Lighting in Mountain Homes
Lighting is where finished work shows best. Our photos include two tier glass rod chandeliers hung above stone fireplaces, pendants over kitchen islands, and recessed lights set into knotty pine and wood plank vaulted ceilings. Bathrooms get vanity bars and sconces, kitchens get under cabinet lighting, and vaulted bedrooms and great rooms get ceiling fans on downrods.
Outside, the work follows the land. There are low voltage path lights along flagstone walkways, bronze step lights tucked into mossy stone walls, uplit tree trunks beside a pond with a mountain view, and dusk to dawn area lights on wood poles. Motion sensor floodlights and lit wall lanterns at the front door round out the security side.
Most of these projects pair new fixtures with new switching. That way a room or a yard lights up the way the owner actually uses it.
Kitchen and Bath Remodels in Our Electrical Project Photos for Franklin, NC
Some of the most useful electrical project photos in Franklin, NC show work before the walls close. Remodel rough-ins in our library include open stud walls with new cable and blue outlet boxes, recessed can housings laid out between exposed joists with a laser line, and kitchen backsplash boxes set in cement board before the tile goes up.
Other shots cover basement finishes with drop ceilings and LED panel lights, a porch addition framed with temporary work lights, an attic bonus room wired along its knee walls and a stone archway opened up for new wiring. This stage is what the rough-in inspection checks, before insulation or drywall covers the work.
These photos show why remodel wiring is planned early. Outlet heights, lighting layout and new circuits are far easier to get right while the framing is still open. Our electrical remodeling work follows the same order on every project.

Electrical Work Photos in Western NC: Trenches, Posts and RV Sites
Mountain properties often need power far from the house, and our outdoor photos show how it gets there. Trenches cut through red clay carry gray conduit with red warning tape laid above it, and braced treated posts hold meter sockets, disconnects and outdoor receptacles where a building or pump needs them.
Several photos come from RV sites, with power pedestals set on posts beside gravel pads, each with its own breakers and a GFCI receptacle behind a weatherproof door. Others show a utility trench for a tiny house, power to sheds and outbuildings, and a subpanel wired inside a small shed.
Underground work on a slope takes planning. Rock, roots and steep grades decide where a trench can run, and each conduit end has to stay protected where it rises out of the ground.

Commercial Conduit, Panelboards and Disconnects
Our commercial photos look different from the residential ones. They show long runs of EMT conduit across block walls and ceilings, conduit carried on strut trapezes, pull boxes with conductors ready to land, three phase panelboards with copper bus and labeled breakers, and dry type transformers mounted on tall block walls.
One project is an indoor batting facility, from its steel framing and conduit through to linear LED fixtures over green turf. Others include a welding shop with safety switches and flexible whips feeding each machine, and metal buildings with surface mounted outlets and conduit run neatly up the walls.
Clean conduit work matters in a business. Labeled, orderly runs make future changes faster and keep the space safe for the people who work in it. Our commercial electrical services cover shops, offices and metal buildings.
Questions About Our Project Photos
Are these photos from your own jobs?
Yes. The project photos come from jobs completed by Switched Up Electrical Services LLC across Franklin and the surrounding mountain towns. They show our own panels, conduit runs, lighting and rough-in wiring, including work in progress before walls were closed. We share them so you can see the standard of workmanship you can expect on your own project, whether it is a home, a cabin or a business.
Can you do a project like one in the photos at my property?
Most likely, yes. Tell us which photo or type of work caught your eye, along with where the property is and what you have now. We will visit, look at your panel and wiring, and give you a free, no-obligation quote. Call (828) 200-0837 Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, or send a request online to get started.
Why show unfinished work instead of only finished rooms?
Work in progress shows what most customers never see: how the wire is run, how boxes are mounted and how circuits are labeled before drywall covers them. That hidden work decides whether an installation stays safe for years. A finished light fixture can look good over poor wiring, so photos of the rough-in stage are the honest measure of quality on any electrical project.
